Lower London Street Dixieland Band

The Lower London Street Dixieland Band has been in existence for 45 years and plays monthly on the last Tuesday at the Historic Red Brick Tavern in Lafayette, to enthusiastic sold out audiences. The band is 100% AUTHENTIC with a clarinet, cornet, trombone, tuba, banjo, and drums. The band is more than just a band as it has a library of tunes, which is rare for most Dixieland bands. It plays the music of Turk Murphy and the San Francisco 1920’s sound as well.

The banjo player (Glenn Parks) is well-known throughout the country for his banjo shows and is extremely entertaining with vocals, MC’ing, and joke telling. The cornetist also does some great vocals. The band has played at Bristol Village in Waverly for several years now as well as at Mt. Pleasant in Monroe, The Kenwood in Cincinnati, Otterbein Lebanon, Bluebird in London, The Masonic Home in Springfield, Pastime Park in Plain City, Clifton Opera House, Jamestown Opera House, Cedarville Opera House, and many more. It also will be playing at 10 Wilmington Place soon.The band has also played for funerals and weddings.
